Shipping wine can be complex— alcohol shipping laws vary from state to state. Shipping policies vary depending on local policies. We currently ship to the following states:

Are shipments insured?

Yes. Insurance is included in the shipping cost.

Can I expedite my shipping?

Yes, you can! Please select the appropriate fulfillment method at checkout depending on your delivery preference. Fees commensurate with current FedEx shipping options and rates. Note that processing days are not factored into the transit days. Therefore, if your order is time-sensitive, it is best to email us at owc@omahawine.com to ensure your order arrives on time.

What is your summer shipping policy?

Omaha Wine Company is committed to ensuring that our customers receive their wine in the best condition possible. Excessive exposure to heat can seriously damage the quality of the wine, a particular concern during the hot summer months. Due to this, Omaha Wine Company reserves the right to temporarily hold orders placed online due to extreme temperatures. If you choose to ship wines in the summer months, we highly recommend overnight or two-day shipping. 

Do I need to be home to receive my delivery?

All packages containing alcohol must be received and signed for by an adult over the age of 21. 

Many customers choose to have their order sent to their work address so that an adult is present to sign for it. If an order is sent to a home address and an adult is not present, FedEx will try to deliver twice more on consecutive business days. FedEx will furnish their telephone number on the door tags they leave so that the recipient can call to arrange to pick up of their package at the local FedEx facility if they like. FedEx will hold packages for five days if a recipient tells them that they are coming to pick up their package. If the recipient does not contact FedEx, or if the package is not picked up within the five-day window, FedEx will return the package to us. Additional shipping fees will apply for any package that is required to be reshipped.

How can I track my order?

The Order Fulfillment email will contain your FedEx tracking number.  However, for certain states, tracking information is provided after you are notified that the product has shipped. For these states, tracking information may be provided up to two business days after your order has shipped depending on FedEx processing timelines, which vary based on order volume. Legal Notice

Laws regarding the sale and transportation of alcohol are complex and constantly changing.  As such, all wine is sold in Nebraska and title passes to you, the buyer in Nebraska.  We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import wines into any state outside Nebraska.  In the event we may ship alcohol to your state in accordance with a state privilege, you will be charged the sales tax, if any, assessed by your state for that transaction; otherwise Nebraska sales tax will be assessed on the sale.  As the buyer, you are solely responsible for shipment of alcoholic beverages. By placing an order, you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver your wine to you. By requesting delivery, you are expressly warranting that you will ensure compliance with all applicable alcohol shipping laws. The shipment of alcohol into a state is regulated by the recipient state, and you are responsible for compliance with all laws regarding such shipments. You may also pick up your wine at our Omaha, Nebraska location, or make your own shipping arrangements in order to ensure compliance with alcohol shipping laws.
