The Grand Terroirs of France: Champagne, Burgundy, and Bordeaux
Bonjour! Have you ever wanted to try French wines but didn’t know where to start? Are you unfamiliar with the different regions and grape varietals? Is the label too confusing, making you want to give up?
Then grab your beret and join us as we dive into demystifying French wines for you! We’ll discuss three major wine regions of France, the grape varietals grown in those regions, what makes the regions so special, and an easy way to read any French label!
You will have an opportunity to try 8 different wines and grape varietals that are important to France:
- Champagne
- Chablis
- White Burgundy
- Red Burgundy (2 wines to compare & contrast the Burgundy)
- Right Bank Bordeaux
- Left Bank Bordeaux (2 wines to compare & contrast the Left Bank)
This event will take place in Omaha Wine Company’s classroom. Our classroom can seat 28 people (7 tables of 4 persons each). If you have another couple or group you would like to be seated with, please email or call and let us know, and we will do our best to seat you together.
You now have the option of adding a charcuterie plate to your tasting! We have partnered with Grapes + Gouda to provide high-quality charcuterie plates. The charcuterie plates must be pre-ordered! We will not have extra plates at the class, since these are made-to-order and will be delivered shortly before class time. You may choose from the following options – click on the link to order:
