This is the first wine we blend every year, and this year’s result is powerful. As you have come to expect each release, the core of this blend is Cabernet Sauvignon, and in 2019 it comes from some of the rockiest blocks at Tench Vineyard. It has a fabulous meaty quality and all the fruit to back it up. It was quite an undertaking to craft a wine that could stand up to the ’18 Ontogeny that was so yummy, but what we have in ’19 is an even bigger beast. 98 Points, Jeb Dunnuck
